Teaching English, German, Italian or French in Argentina

image
Gain teaching experience while helping children improve their spoken foreign language.
Join our Education Volunteer Program in Argentina and help children or adults to improve their foreign language. You will either assist or teach the class to help them practice and focus on building their self-confidence. It’s also a great way to gain teaching experience to strengthen your CV. Work in a secondary school, language institute or university. As a native speaker of a foreign language, you will know how to improve pronunciation and understanding. Speaking a foreign language is important for the business world in Argentina. By giving them the confidence to speak it, you will open the doors to a better job in the future. That’s not to mention the wonders of a foreign culture and experience!
If you want teaching experience to prepare you for your career, and want to help Argentinian students while you’re at it, on this project you’ll achieve both! You will work with teachers and, with their help, guide students, and prepare classes to help them improve their foreign language level. And of course, it is a good opportunity to improve your language skills. If you don’t have experience, don’t worry. This project will give you the classroom experience you need. If you are exploring teaching as a career, experiencing the daily duties of a teacher will help you make your decision.
The languages in which you can help are: English, French, Italian, German

Where in Argentina will I work?

Your volunteering will take place in Córdoba, a city full of natural beauty with a true zest for life. You’ll see it reflected in its vibrant party scene and colourful street art. In Córdoba, you will never get bored! With a population of 2 million people, Córdoba is the second largest city in the country and the result of a great mix of cultures that include indigenous tribes, Italo -Argentines, Spanish-Argentines and immigrants from all corners of Europe.

Arrival airport

If you are going to work on this project, you should arrive at Cordoba International Airport (COR) where a member of our staff will be waiting to receive you.

Food and accommodation

You will stay with a host family in Córdoba. They will welcome you into their home and will be happy to share their customs and learn about your culture. We believe that this is the best way to immerse yourself in the Argentine lifestyle and have a truly unique experience. Your room will be simple, but comfortable, clean and safe. The cost of the program includes three meals a day.

Leisure

Argentina is a vibrant South American country full of colours and cultural heritage. As well as contributing to worthwhile projects, travelling to Argentina with us means you’ll be able to explore this fascinating country. Spend the afternoon enjoying a coffee in Plaza San Martín, with its street artists and its iconic statue of General José de San Martín. You can take a weekend trip to the mountains. The surrounding nature is impressive and a horseback ride through the nature trails is also worthwhile. There are cultural experiences, such as the Evita Superior Museum of Fine Arts or the Teatro del Libertador General San Martín. You can also learn about the country’s history at local museums and visit the birthplace of Che Guevara. There are probably other volunteers in Argentina, so you can explore on your own or with a group of volunteers from different projects.
