Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our volunteer trips and internships in Latin America.
If you have other questions, contact us!

What projects can I participate in?

We are involved in very varied projects, both in community and environmental fields. There are volunteer projects in schools, teaching Italian, sports, but also internships in human rights, journalism, or medicine. Or, you can choose an environmental volunteer project or volunteer with animals and find yourself living in dream locations while helping to protect the environment.
You can take a look at the pages dedicated to community development projects and environmental volunteer projects.

What are the destinations?

We work in Argentina and Ecuador.

What are the required qualifications?

There are no special requirements. In fact, we want this to be an opportunity to learn, as well as to help.
Depending on the project you choose, you will receive initial training, and we will follow you throughout the activities.
Additionally, we try to define your role based on your preferences and expectations, the knowledge you have, and what you want to gain. Of course, there are exceptions based on the project.

Do I need to know the language?

Undoubtedly, knowing Spanish is an advantage. However, for most projects, it is not a necessary requirement. The important thing is that you feel comfortable communicating with people, and it is usually easy to communicate between Italian and Spanish speakers. In some cases, we can provide translation support.
Moreover, we also organize Spanish courses. What better opportunity to improve your language skills?

Are there age limits?

Our projects are open to all people from 16 years old and up.
People aged 10, 30, 40, but also 50 or 60 years old join us. Everyone experiences the adventure based on their own background, but the beautiful aspect is that relationships are created regardless of any age difference.
For minors, parental authorization is required.

When can I leave?

You can leave whenever you want. You can choose the departure and return dates. It can be any day of the month or week.
Our projects take place all year round, and we accommodate you based on your preferences.
Just consider that if you arrive on a Friday, you will most likely start activities the following Monday.

What is the expected duration?

In general, you can participate for as little as one week, but each project has a different minimum duration. You can find this on the pages dedicated to specific projects.
We always recommend as long a stay as possible so you have time to settle in and fully enjoy the experience, both personally and professionally.
However, we understand it’s not easy to detach from commitments at home, so we arrange things to facilitate anyone’s involvement, regardless of the project’s duration.

What are the registration terms?

We are flexible. Ideally, you should complete the registration at least three months before departure.
Some people register a year in advance, allowing time to pay in installments and prepare for the project; for us, it is easier to meet any specific requests in these cases.
Others decide at the last minute. If you are one of them, contact us immediately, and we will start organizing your trip!

What vaccinations do I need?

The type of vaccinations depends on the project you choose. Generally, there are no major requirements, but we can only give informal advice. We suggest consulting a doctor or specialized center.

Why should I choose Mondify?

We are directly present in both Argentina and Ecuador. We oversee our projects in person, pay attention to community needs, and monitor activities.
Our local presence also provides a greater sense of security for you. We will welcome you at the airport and support you throughout your stay.

Are there any costs?

There are participation costs that cover all organizational and local expenses. Basically, you will need to add the flight and insurance costs.
Consider that there is a local office, and our staff will assist you before your arrival and, once there, will help you settle in and always be at your disposal.
Costs vary depending on the country, project, and duration of your stay. You can check them on the budget page.
Simply select the project, destination, and number of weeks to get a quote.
Why do I have to pay to volunteer?
The costs are necessary to ensure the perfect organization of your experience.
We commit with professionalism and continuity to our projects. Organizing your placement requires energy and resources: providing flexibility, training, and ensuring support is only possible thanks to our specialized staff.
