Our Community Sports Volunteer Program, offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. By working as a coach, you’ll help nurture and develop their skills in popular sports like soccer and basketball, while promoting teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. Through this experience, you’ll inspire young athletes, giving them the chance to thrive both on and off the field.
What makes this program special is the direct involvement with children who would otherwise have limited access to organized sports. Many of the kids you’ll coach come from low-income families who cannot afford professional training. By volunteering, you’ll not only teach them sports skills but also provide them with valuable life lessons and the opportunity to pursue their passion for sports. You’ll be working in local community sports clubs as well as in primary and secondary schools, collaborating with passionate local coaches who are eager to welcome volunteers into their teams.
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or someone who simply loves sports and wants to give back, this program is designed for everyone. Even if you have little coaching experience, you’ll be supported by experienced coaches who will help guide you and provide training on how to work with the kids. Your Tasks
You will be a volunteer coach in a community sports club, primary and/or secondary schools. Some of your tasks will be:

Where in Argentina will I work?
Your project will be carried out in the city of Córdoba, the second-largest city in Argentina. Córdoba is known for its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural diversity. It’s a city where indigenous traditions meet European influences, creating a vibrant and colorful atmosphere. From its lively local festivals to its iconic street art, Córdoba has something for everyone to enjoy. As a volunteer, you’ll be immersed in this exciting environment, gaining a deeper understanding of Argentine culture.
Food and accommodation
You will stay with a host family in Córdoba. They will welcome you into their home and will be happy to share their customs and learn about your culture. We believe that this is the best way to immerse yourself in the Argentine lifestyle and have a truly unique experience. Your room will be simple, but comfortable, clean and safe. The cost of the program includes three meals a day.
Leisure
Argentina is a vibrant South American country full of colours and cultural heritage. As well as contributing to worthwhile projects, travelling to Argentina with us means you’ll be able to explore this fascinating country. Spend the afternoon enjoying a coffee in Plaza San Martín, with its street artists and its iconic statue of General José de San Martín. You can take a weekend trip to the mountains. The surrounding nature is impressive and a horseback ride through the nature trails is also worthwhile. There are cultural experiences, such as the Evita Superior Museum of Fine Arts or the Teatro del Libertador General San Martín. You can also learn about the country’s history at local museums and visit the birthplace of Che Guevara. There are probably other volunteers in Argentina, so you can explore on your own or with a group of volunteers from different projects.

Spanish language lessons
Fluency in Spanish is not a prerequisite for participating in Mondify’s programs in Córdoba, Argentina. However, certain projects may have limitations for volunteers with limited language proficiency. Therefore, Mondify strongly recommends that volunteers take advantage of the affordable Spanish courses offered exclusively to program participants. Previous volunteers have found that these classes significantly enhance day-to-day volunteer work and facilitate communication with local communities. Taught by professional Spanish instructors and tailored to each individual’s specific needs, the classes vary in duration and intensity. For instance, the Dynamic Spanish Immersion Course includes 25 group classes per week, totaling 3 hours and 45 minutes daily, while the Rapid Language Mastery Program offers 37 group classes per week, with 5 hours and 30 minutes of daily instruction. These lessons are arranged with your Mondify Program Manager prior to departure.
