Gain valuable work experience working alongside journalists at a radio station.
If you are ready for your voice to start flooding the radio as a journalist, then you are ready for our radio journalism internship in Argentina. It’s the perfect opportunity to gain experience at a local radio station, improve your CV, polish your skills and learn about media work abroad. You will work alongside professional journalists and you will see what the day-to-day life of this lifestyle is like, as well as see the operation of a radio station and getting involved in it. And it would be a good time to start making a good portfolio. You will be in Unquillo, a city in the province of Córdoba. You can take advantage of your free time to explore the wonders of Argentine culture, visit the house of Che Guevara or go on an excursion to one of Argentina’s national parks.
These internships are perfect for gaining experience and boosting your CV, whether you are a student with a degree or don’t yet have any experience in journalism. These internships are specifically for radio journalism, so you need to have the confidence to speak on the radio and an interest in scriptwriting, which can be quite different from conventional writing. This project operates throughout the year, so you can join when it best suits your schedule.

All the work you do will have the guidance and supervision of the station’s journalists.

Where in Argentina will I work?

Our radio journalism internships in Argentina take place in Unquillo, home to 15,000 people from the province of Córdoba. Unquillo is located 15 km north of the capital city of Córdoba. When you’re not working, you can explore the city and visit places like the Casa Museo Buffo, a chapel turned museum. You will work for a radio station perfectly equipped so that you learn everything you need to know about radio journalism.

Arrival airport

If you are going to work on this project, you should arrive at Cordoba International Airport (COR) where a member of our staff will be waiting to receive you.

The cost of the program includes three meals a day.

Leisure

Argentina is a vibrant South American country full of colours and cultural heritage. As well as contributing to worthwhile projects, travelling to Argentina with us means you’ll be able to explore this fascinating country. Spend the afternoon enjoying a coffee in Plaza San Martín, with its street artists and its iconic statue of General José de San Martín. You can take a weekend trip to the mountains. The surrounding nature is impressive and a horseback ride through the nature trails is also worthwhile. There are cultural experiences, such as the Evita Superior Museum of Fine Arts or the Teatro del Libertador General San Martín. You can also learn about the country’s history at local museums and visit the birthplace of Che Guevara. There are probably other volunteers in Argentina, so you can explore on your own or with a group of volunteers from different projects.
