Children Care in Argentina

image
Live in Argentina and prepare young children for school by teaching them basic skills.
Participate in our Social Volunteering in Argentina and help children in a preschool care centre. Every day you will organize fun activities that promote early childhood development. The centres where we work have very large groups of kids and too few staff. The teachers can’t give personal attention. With your support, children who are lagging behind will be able to learn and keep up with the group. And the teachers and caregivers will appreciate your help. You can also help children with disabilities in a special needs centre.
If you are full of energy, you like to see the fun side of life, and you enjoy the company of small children with all their ups and downs, our Social Volunteering in Argentina is for you. You will boost early child development, and gain experience in child care. This will be especially helpful if you plan to pursue a career working with children. If you don’t have experience, you have nothing to worry about. You will support local teachers and carers and our staff will be on hand to guide you. We also hold workshops periodically where you can improve your teaching and planning skills. You will also have access to our database with hundreds of teaching resources, such as games and crafts.

Where in Argentina will I work?

Your volunteering will take place in Córdoba, a city full of natural beauty with a true zest for life. You’ll see it reflected in its vibrant party scene and colourful street art. In Córdoba, you will never get bored! With a population of 2 million people, Córdoba is the second largest city in the country and the result of a great mix of cultures that include indigenous tribes, Italo -Argentines, Spanish-Argentines and immigrants from all corners of Europe.

Arrival airport

If you are going to work on this project, you should arrive at Cordoba International Airport (COR) where a member of our staff will be waiting to receive you.

Food and accommodation

You will stay with a host family in Córdoba. They will welcome you into their home and will be happy to share their customs and learn about your culture. We believe that this is the best way to immerse yourself in the Argentine lifestyle and have a truly unique experience. Your room will be simple, but comfortable, clean and safe. The cost of the program includes three meals a day.

Leisure

Argentina is a vibrant South American country full of colours and cultural heritage. As well as contributing to worthwhile projects, travelling to Argentina with us means you’ll be able to explore this fascinating country. Spend the afternoon enjoying a coffee in Plaza San Martín, with its street artists and its iconic statue of General José de San Martín. You can take a weekend trip to the mountains. The surrounding nature is impressive and a horseback ride through the nature trails is also worthwhile. There are cultural experiences, such as the Evita Superior Museum of Fine Arts or the Teatro del Libertador General San Martín. You can also learn about the country’s history at local museums and visit the birthplace of Che Guevara. There are probably other volunteers in Argentina, so you can explore on your own or with a group of volunteers from different projects.
